Alex Perry is Australia’s most glamorous designer, by virtue of his magnificent gowns and sensational red carpet eveningwear.
Alex Perry knows how to make a woman look and feel glamorous, and after doing so for over seventeen years, the brand has become synonymous with luxury, prestige and quality.
In 1992 Perry opened his first atelier creating one of kind explosive gowns, jewelled corsets and masterfully tailored sheaths, which soon became his trademark signature.
Perry’s wonderful sense of occasion helped cultivate his impressive Haute Couture clientele including high profile celebrities, social identities and personalities both in Australia and internationally.
Perry has become a red carpet favourite amongst his celebrity following, which includes such Perry Girls as Jennifer Lopez, Nelly Furtado, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, Miranda Kerr, Elle Macpherson, Sarah Murdoch and Megan Gale.
Alex Perry has shown annually at Australian Fashion Week since 1997 and his shows continue to be touted as one of the most highly anticipated events on schedule.
The "Ready-To-Wear" Collection was launched in 2004 appealing to Perry Girls everywhere. The collection includes special occasion pieces that have been designed with dinner, cocktails, party, the races and red carpet moments in mind featuring familiar signatures of boned corsetry, rouching and feminine silhouettes.
The collection is currently available at selected David Jones stores and boutiques nationally and internationally, as well as the glittering Alex Perry flagship store.
Located within Sydney’s iconic Strand Arcade, the Alex Perry flagship store showcases all aspects of Alex Perry including Haute Couture, Red Carpet, Brides and the Ready-to-Wear collections.
Due to popular demand, Alex Perry Brides was launched in 2008, enabling Brides to purchase a Perry gown "off the rack" for their special day. The collection is complemented by Alex Perry Accessories which includes jewelled handbags, bijoux jewellery and evening shoes.
Perry’s great sense of humour, quick wit and candid responses are "made for television", and he has developed into an accomplished media personality. His public speaking talents are frequently sought, most recently featuring on Australia’s Next Top Model Series Five on Foxtel. Alex Perry continues to proudly represent Electrolux as their official fashion ambassador for the second year.
Alex Perry has always generously donated to charity, and continues to support various organizations such as: AEIOU Kids with Autism, The Sydney Children’s Hospital, PEARLS and Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer.

Your gown is personally designed by Alex over a series of private consultations with you during which the design and fabrication of your gown will evolve. We globally source the most beautiful silks, specialty fabrics and deluxe hand treatments and embellishments to ensure the finest quality materials.
The deluxe hand finishes feature paramount and our finishing techniques are superb. Our dedicated team of skilled crafts-people is on hand to ensure we create the most amazing gown of your dreams.
Alex Perry Made to Order gowns have an opening price of AUS$6,000.
To allow sufficient time to import specialty fabrics, we require a minimum of 4 months notice to create your gown.
A consultation fee of $350 is payable at the time of booking your first consultation. This fee is deducted from the cost of your gown at the time of booking.

Accessible to Perry Girls everywhere, the collection features familiar Alex Perry signatures of boned corsetry, rouching and feminine silhouettes readily available to purchase "off the rack" at retail price points AUS$290 - $3500
The collection is currently available at David Jones Department Store and selected boutiques nationally and internationally.

It was an occasion to savor as guests at the launch of ‘Vanitas by Palazzo Versace’, a bi-monthly series of divine events, were mesmerized by a fashionable fare of jewels, diamonds and chiffon. Invited personalities, Alex Perry one of Australia’s most glamorous designers together with Gold Coast darling Chloe Maxwell enraptured the audience in an intimate runway show and luncheon.
Like a painting that ravishes the eye, Vanitas transformed into a sea of beautiful color, goddess-like gowns and twinkling sequins – baring the trademark of Alex Perry and his latest Spring / Summer collection.
A prelude of champagne in le Jardin; one sleek and sophisticated Ferrari California; limited edition diamonds by Calleija Jewelers illuminated by the very essence of a Versace designed lobby, together with the wondrous works of the one and only Alex Perry, inspired the beginning of a series of hallmark events.
Guests dined in Vanitas signature style, a menu created by executive Chef Steve Szabo, whilst sipping on carefully selected fine wines.
The synergy of Alex Perry’s striking designs and the exclusiveness of Palazzo Versace’s full fashion branded hotel were a match made in heaven. What a perfect day.

Alex Perry and ghd first teamed up on the set of Australia’s Next Top Model in 2008 – says Alex of that first collaboration, “We had an amazing shoot and ghd styled the most extraordinary hair… so European, glamorous... ultimately Perrylicious!”
The next project was Rosemount Australian Fashion Week in May 2008 where ghd session stylist Sophie Roberts created beautifully polished waves with an edgy twist. Then in 2009 both teams went aboard luxury cruiser, Queen Mary 2, to wow the Sydney fashion set with an extravagant catwalk show. The partnership now sees the two collaborating to bring Alex’s creative vision to life both on and off the catwalk.
